[Day 8, just about 29:40, approximately four and a half minutes after Team J rolled back into camp. There's an armored dog sitting patiently outside Armada's rover, and he comes bearing a gift: since rabbitmice have seen fit to take over camp again, 1 took the opportunity to kill one, leaving its still-warm body on the rover step, trailing steam into the cold air.
Armada has no eyes to see it with, but 1's eyes and nose are leaking and filmy, leaving frozen streaks in his fur. He manages to walk and run without visible trauma, but his brain, organs and muscles are under stress from the armor implants. The degeneration is happening much slower than normal, but it's still happening.

[ Armada doesn't need to see 1 to be aware of his physical state. When he steps out of the rover to meet the dog, his head cocks, tilted to the side and angled down toward 1. He can sense the fluctuation in his heartbeat, the stress in his organs. It's easy for Armada to pick out the sickly as a trait of his species— they are predators.

i can alright fight effectively with my vision lost but ive decided i like seeing pretty women rather than not. so ill hold onto my eyes as long as i can.
