i dont like the word ritual. it reeks of religion. we tended to dislike priests getting anywhere near our celebrations.

it wouldnt be a big deal these days if a priest chided you but priests back then knew how to use curses properly. imagine having half our group getting painful sores because we didnt do some unnecessary ritual before a battle.

extremely. some people held grudges awhile but not many did so we could fight and be friends in the same day if we wanted to.
